2026 Peak Periods & Pricing

During peak periods, additional fees, advance cancellation requirements, and deposit rules apply due to increased demand, staffing needs, and safety considerations.

We highly recommend getting your reservations in for peak periods early.  These dates are in high demand and typically go on a waiting list.  

2026 Peak Period Dates

• Presidents’ Day / Valentine’s: February 13–16, 2026

• Spring Break (Local & Metro Schools): March 14–29, 2026

• Easter Weekend: April 3–6, 2026

• Mother’s Day Weekend: May 8–11, 2026

• Memorial Day Weekend: May 22–25, 2026

• Summer Travel Season Peak: June 10–July 7, 2026

• Labor Day: August 28–September 7, 2026

• Fall Break: October 8–12, 2026

• Thanksgiving: November 23–29, 2026

• Christmas & New Year’s: December 21, 2026–January 4, 2027

Peak period dates and rules may change based on operational needs.

Important Peak Period Policies

• Cancellations:
  Refunds are at the discretion of K9cation.

• Deposits:
  Blackout / major holiday periods require a $100 per dog non-refundable deposit.

• Early Pickups / Shortened Stays:
  Dogs picked up early during peak periods will be charged the full original reservation amount. Staffing, space, and services are reserved in advance and other bookings are declined.

• Availability & Capacity Controls:
  All peak bookings are subject to availability, staffing levels, and safety considerations. K9cation reserves the right to limit or refuse bookings if capacity thresholds are reached.

• No Discounts or Retroactive Adjustments:
  Peak pricing, deposits, and fees cannot be discounted, waived, or applied retroactively.
  
  We are closed to the public on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day.  This means no daycare, training, rentals or drop offs or pickups on these days.  *Emergency out of business hour pickups will be assessed a $100 out of hours fee at the discretion of K9cation.
