🐾 Do you have an unaltered (intact) dog that you need boarding or daycare for?
WE ARE PROUD TO BE ONE OF THE FEW FACILITIES ACCEPTING UNALTERED DOGS SAFELY WHILE MAINTAINING OUR LICENSING AND COMPLIANCE WITH 2026 PACFA LAW CHANGES.
Important 2026 Update 🐾
Colorado law has changed, and under PACFA regulations, unaltered dogs over 18 months are no longer allowed to participate in group play.
If you have any questions or concerns about 2026 daycare or boarding, please reach out. We would love to talk with you about the best option for your dog. You can also visit the FAQ section of our website for details.
✅ What has K9cation done in response to this change?
We understand this is frustrating. K9cation has always taken unaltered dogs seriously, and we’re proud to be one of the few Colorado facilities that continues to welcome intact dogs. We respect that every family makes spay/neuter decisions for different reasons, and we’ve built structured options to support those choices safely.
Here’s what we’ve implemented:
K9cation continues to accept unaltered dogs no matter their age
K9cation is no longer charging an unaltered (intact) fee for dogs over 18 months
We invested in additional glass suites and created a dedicated booking option for intact dogs:
🏡 K9cation Courtyard Oasis Lodging (private indoor/outdoor turfed runs)
We’ve built a 1:1 play and enrichment schedule with our dedicated and certified staff
We’ve discounted Courtyard Walks so your dog can enjoy more active time with a handler at a reduced rate for 2026
💙 Our commitment:
We love all dogs and we’ve modified our operations to remain fully compliant with Colorado regulations to maintain our licensing, while still providing safe, affordable, structured, high-quality care for unaltered dogs.
